So the second half of the mold got finished and I just made a fast plaster cast to check if there are any annoying seems or problem zones, but everything works as planned. Please note that the plaster I used is not really made for casting in closed molds, so the air bubbles are only a plaster problem. The final cast won't have any (hopefully).

Draw the line
Starting with the real inner mold now - a brief summary:
- Half of the placeholder-clay removed
- Tinfoil got replaced with cling film and most of it got removed (could also work without any covering, but I don't want to spend hours for cleaning the gnomes butt)
- Final parting line sculpted - "accuracy" is today's keyword here
- Mother-mold closed and filled with lovely silicone rubber

Rubber Gnomes and Spongebob
Just a little quick'n'dirty update here:
The silicone rubber and the plaster for the mold finally arrived *cheers*
I already did some testing with the silicone and everything seems to work out pretty well.
Build of the matrix-mother-mold will begin today - I've never done that before, but I guess I'll figure out how to make it work.
